The Rossmoor Fitness center is a state of the art facility designed to serve the needs of the residents and their guests. The center is the most popular and fastest growing resident benefit with an increase of 57,411 visits in 2000 to 148,206 visits in 2011.
In addition to the standard offerings, the staff is also trained to accommodate many special needs. In addition to training and free classes provided by the staff, we provide a wide variety of fee classes offered by independent teachers as well as facilities for the use of Rossmoor special interest fitness clubs.
Before you can use the exercise equipment or attend classes we must have at least a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) and GRF Rossmoor Fitness Center and Aquatic Facilities Release forms on file. You can fill these out at the front desk or print out the forms and bring the completed forms with you.
If you plan to use a trainer you will also need a Health & Fitness Activity History and Medical Release forms. If you have Kaiser insurance you will also need the Kaiser Health Information Release Form.
Even if you don’t plan on using a trainer it is better if we have the complete set of forms on file in case you have any medical problems or a medical emergency while at the center. We will have better information and the EMTs can respond faster and better to any emergency with this information.
